Dr Lorenzo is an Australian trained Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric \/Weight loss and General Surgeon.<\/p>

After completing his general surgery training at Westmead Hospital in Sydney\u2019s west, Dr Lorenzo was awarded his fellowship in general surgery in 2016 before taking on the role of Clinical Superintendent at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals for the next two years.<\/p>

Dr Lorenzo then furthered his training, completing a rigorous post-fellowship in upper gastrointestinal surgery at the prestigious St Vincent\u2019s public and private Hospitals. This is where he mastered the art of dealing with severe reflux and complex hiatus herniae in lung transplant patients.<\/p>

This was followed by further training with the Australia and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA) at Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand where he concentrated on weight loss and revisional bariatric surgery.<\/p>

Returning to Australia, Dr Lorenzo spent the next two years in Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and Liverpool Hospitals for upper gastrointestinal oncology training (including treatment of oesophagus, stomach, pancreas and liver cancers).<\/p>

In addition, Dr Lorenzo is a proud surgical educator with a passion for research, demonstrated by his ongoing teaching to medical students, registrars and fellows and active involvement in research at Bankstown Hospital.<\/p>

Dr Lorenzo holds multiple appointments at both public and private hospitals. He is a visiting medical officer (VMO) consultant at Bankstown-Lidcombe Public Hospital and hold VMO consultant positions at Norwest Private Hospital, Lakeview Private Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital, Campbelltown Private Hospital, Sydney South West Private Hospital.<\/p>

Dr Lorenzo is known for his compassionate and comprehensive care.<\/p>
